The new themed trail "Rossy Walk" is now open!
A new attraction for nature lovers and families has opened at Rosskopf/Monte Cavallo in Sterzing/Vipiteno: the themed trail
Rossy Walk. This adventure trail offers a unique opportunity to discover the surrounding nature in a playful way.
The three-kilometer long, stroller-friendly path leads through a shaded forest, past the scenic Kastellacke biotope, and back to the starting point at
Rossy Park. It's ideal for families who want to experience a day full of exciting adventures and discoveries.
Children and adults can explore the mountain world’s nature at eight educational and varied stations, all certified by TÜV. You'll be accompanied by
Rossy, the curious little horse mascot of Rosskopf.
Here are the stations:
1.
Animal Memory: Test your memory and learn about the animal world in a playful way.
2.
Carillon: Discover the magical sounds of the forest.
3.
Climbing Horse: Play at the climbing horse.
4.
Butterfly: Dive into the enchanting world of butterflies.
5.
Forest Labyrinth with Forest Telephone: Can you find the right way through the labyrinth?
6.
Ant Village: Observe the tireless activity in the ant kingdom.
7.
Kastellacke Biotope: Explore the diversity of life in the unique Kastellacke biotope.
8.
Rabbit Burrow: Experience what it's like to live in a burrow.
A specially designed booklet, which can be picked up for free at the Rosskopf valley station, accompanies children on their adventure. The lovingly told story of Rossy makes the walk an even greater experience and motivates children to hike.
Along the way, the trail offers the opportunity to take a break in four
cozy alpine huts –
Alpin Chalet Rosskopf,
Furlhütte,
Sterzingerhaus, and
Sternhütte. Here you can enjoy regional specialties and refresh yourself with a drink while admiring the breathtaking view of the Tyrolean alpine landscape.
After the hike, Rossy Park invites you to stay a while with its petting zoo. Here, children can observe and pet many animals like dwarf goats, ponies, and alpacas, and also have a lot of fun on the playground.
